Rae's Story

🌅 A "Rae of Sunshine" in Every Heart 🌅

Rae Sachiko (Alejado) Kaleohano was born on 09/01/73, at Kaiser Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. She passed away peacefully on 09/12/23, at Lutheran Hospital Heart Pavilion in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the age of 50. Rae leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, compassion, generosity, and kindness.

FAITH

Rae's faith was a cornerstone of her life. A devoted Christian, she found strength and joy at Warsaw Community Church, where she and her family were active members.

FAMILY

Rae was deeply devoted to her family. She married Perry Kaleohano, the love of her life, on 09/09/09, and together they raised their beloved son, Dane Keoni Kaleohano. As a loving wife and incredible mother, Rae built a beautiful life with Perry, founded on love, trust, and commitment. Dane was her pride and joy, and she wholeheartedly supported him in all his endeavors, always present and cheering him on. Her family was the center of her universe. She poured herself into nurturing them with love, encouragement, and boundless devotion, ensuring everyone felt valued and cared for. Her unwavering love and constant presence were a source of strength for her family.

FRIENDS

Rae cherished her friendships and found joy in helping others through her work, relationships, and everyday acts of kindness. Whether lending a hand or offering a kind word, she made the world a better place. Among her many passions, Rae loved baking and sharing her creations, spreading warmth and joy with her friends.

EDUCATION / CAREER

Rae graduated from homeschooling and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. Rae loved her career and she dedicated herself to her profession. Her last position with Lake City Bank as an Assistant Vice President, Marketing Officer, and Webmaster reflected her dedication and kindness. She built meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients, approaching her work with integrity and professionalism, always seeking to help others.

ADVOCATE

Rae was a passionate advocate for the American Heart Association, supporting causes aligned with her love for others.

A GIFT OF LIFE

Even in passing, Rae’s spirit of giving continued through organ donation, offering the gift of life and extending her legacy of kindness with the Indiana Donor Network in Indianapolis, Indiana.

LEGACY

Rae’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness. She embodied unconditional love, unwavering faith, and a generous spirit that will never be forgotten. Her selflessness and compassion left an indelible mark, inspiring those who knew her. Rae’s life was a beautiful reflection of grace, and her enduring legacy of love and kindness will continue to guide and uplift us.
